In order to achieve outputs under the United Nations’ One Plan for the period 2012-2016, specifically outputs 2.2.1, 2.2.4, and 2.4.3 which was agreed between and signed by the United Nations and the Government of Viet Nam, and in accordance with the annual work-plan in 2013 approved by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Ministry of Health, VNM8P02 Project Management Unit and its co-implementing partners – Medical Services Administration will conduct activities on prevention against domestic violence and elderly health care to contribute to the implementation of the Law on the Elderly. These activities include:
- Reviewing and mapping current models on health response to domestic violence to define in details activities under health response component of the minimum comprehensive intervention packages on domestic violence prevention which will be piloted in Hai Duong and Ben Tre Provinces during the period 2012-2016.
- Providing training courses for provincial, district and commune health workers on geriatrics and health care for older persons.
With the above reasons, the Project Management Unit and Medical Services Administration of the Ministry of Health will recruit the following national consultants:
- One (01) national consultants to review and develop the model on health response to gender-based violence;
- One (01) national consultant to develop training materials on screening, detection, providing care and counseling for patients who are victims of gender-based violence in health facilities.
- Two (02) national consultants to provide trainings on screening, detection, care and counseling skills, and statistical reporting on gender-based violence cases.
- One (01) national consultant to provide trainings for health workers on geriatrics for older persons.
- One (01) national consultant to provide trainings for health workers on health care for older persons.
