During war, conflict, and natural disasters, pregnant women and newborns always suffer the most. By providing an Emergency Birth Kit, you can make motherhood safe during humanitarian disasters.

An 'Emergency Birth Kit' can save lives when women are forced to deliver their babies under challenging conditions. These kits contain the supplies needed to prevent infection during childbirth, one of the leading causes of maternal mortality globally.

These kits contain supplies including:

  • soap
  • a sterile plastic sheet
  • a razor blade
  • an umbilical cord tie
  • a blanket
  • latex gloves

Your donation will support UNFPA in its commitment to save and protect women and girls in over 150 countries. For every dollar you donate, 92 cents go directly to programme and service delivery, and 8 cents go to the organization's administrative cost.
