Scope of work:
Visual, instructional, and technical design for the projects:
- Results-based management and evaluation E-learning
- Virtual orientation training
- Leadership learning activities
- Taleo Learning Management System implementation
- Ad-hoc communication projects for DHR
Delivery dates and how work will be delivered (e.g. electronic, hard copy etc.):
The consultant is expected to propose and agree project milestones and the form of delivery for major deliverables of each assigned project.
The consultant’s work will be monitored through weekly progress monitoring meetings on the UNFPA Global Learning Plan. In addition, the consultant’s work will be guided and monitored by the respective leader for each learning project the consultant is assigned to.
The consultant will report to the Head of Learning.
Required expertise, qualifications and competencies, including language requirements
- Project management skills including the milestone planning and communication with vendors and other key stakeholders
- Advanced level of skills in multimedia design, especially the editing and managing audio-visual contents with professional software such as Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro
- Instructional design skills for optimal learner engagement, especially in e-learning
- Technical skills to support learning technologies, especially Video recording and editing, e-learning, Learning Management Systems, Google Sites, Panopto
- Proficiency in English (oral, writing)
Compensation, Work Permits, and Benefits
The level of the fee will be based on a determination of the level and qualifications required to perform the assignment as outlined in the TOR, and will be approximated with the grade level of regular staff (in the General Services, National Officer or International Professional categories) performing duties at a comparable level.
Locally engaged individual consultants should hold all necessary work permits and visas to be legally allowed to work in the country in which they are retained. Internationally engaged individual consultants shall themselves obtain all necessary permits and visas. UNFPA will assist or facilitate and may reimburse reasonable costs incurred for the issuance of visas and permits.
An individual consultant is not eligible for benefits such as sick leave or annual leave, pension, or dependency allowances. An individual consultant is only eligible to take fixed (not floating) United Nations official holidays at the relevant location if they work on a full-time schedule from UNFPA premises and are not remunerated on a daily basis.
