A year ago, on the margins of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, in partnership with the Governments of Norway and Ghana, launched the Equity 2030 Alliance—a groundbreaking initiative aimed at closing gender equity gaps in science, technology, and financing. This global alliance, featuring its inaugural members and their gender-equitable actions, represents a collective commitment to advancing gender equity by design.
This year, aligned with the Summit of the Future and the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action, UNFPA, the United Nations Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency, with its partners is proud to celebrate the first anniversary of the Equity 2030 Alliance with a special side-event to the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
