Investing in women’s reproductive health can impact more than 190 million women working in global supply chains, and through this policy paper, UNFPA is introducing a scorecard of indicators and metrics for the private sector to track progress on key social issues in the workplace including maternity leave, fertility treatments and sexual harassment protocols.

When companies strive to create an inclusive environment for women and positively influence their supply chains, they can benefit from an increase in workplace productivity, reduced absenteeism, and a reduction in staff turnover.

Given that employees spend a significant proportion of their reproductive years at the workplace, advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) is a key stepping-stone to creating safe, healthy and equitable workplaces. This paper provides companies with tools that allow them to assess their current maturity and progress, map their priority focus areas, and advance corporate accountability through a scorecard of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) centric indicators.
