Job Summary

The Communications and Reporting Specialist is based in Damascus and reports to the UNFPA Representative/ Deputy Representative. 

Job Purpose

The Communications and Reporting Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of UNFPA communication and advocacy strategy, ensuring real time information and continuous updates on the progress of UNFPA in Syria: developing, managing, coordinating, networking and implementing communication and advocacy materials, as well as reports and other associated products to promote awareness, understanding and support for women and girls in Syria among the general public, donors and other UNFPA offices and divisions. 

Education: 

Advanced university degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations.

Knowledge and Experience:

Five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in communication, print, broadcast, and/or new media.

Field experience in emergency situations will be an asset.
