Consultant: Internal Team Coaching Support

Currently about 200 UNFPA Internal Team Coaches are coaching 100 Office teams for better teamwork, especially in terms of team health and culture, effective learning & collaboration, and win-win conflict management. The programme is about 1 year old and team coaches are beginning to show success stories or need support in their work.

 

We are therefore recruiting a consultant to help us with:

- Collecting success stories

- Scheduling support calls for internal team coaches

- Organizing training for newly nominated team coaches

- Organizing continuous education webinars for all team coaches

- If possible, running team coach supervision and continuous education sessions autonomously

- Updating team coach database

- Updating team coaching website and information

- Support to other learning activity implementation as needed

The consultant is expected to propose and agree on project milestones and the form of delivery for major deliverables.

No travel is involved, only if exceptional need arises

 

Required qualifications and exprience

  • Masters Degree in psychology, sociology, group dynamics, or related field
  • At last 1 year of professional experience in the UN System, ideally involved in coaching/counselling in individual or group context
  • Experience with organization development, ideally team development and training
  • Exposure to coaching and group dynamics workshops
  • Project management, administration, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (oral, writing). French or Spanish are an asset.

NOTE:  The level of the fee will be based on a determination of the level and qualifications required to perform the assignment as outlined in the TOR, and will be approximated with the grade level of regular staff (in the General Services, National Officer or International Professional categories) performing duties at a comparable level.

Locally engaged individual consultants should hold all necessary work permits and visas to be legally allowed to work in the country in which they are retained. Internationally engaged individual consultants shall themselves obtain all necessary permits and visas. UNFPA will assist or facilitate and may reimburse reasonable costs incurred for the issuance of visas and permits.

Duration:  28 October 2019 to 31 December 2019 - full time
