The Position:

Under the direct supervision of the National project coordinator PSEA-SANTE, the GBV/PSEA Specialist will be based in Kinshasa and is responsible for the implementation of the project to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and sexual harassment (SH), and all matters related to GBV and PSEA in the health sector in development and humanitarian context. 

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:  

  • Advanced University degree in gender (Master or higher), population, social sciences, public health, law, economics, development or other related fields. 

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • 5 years of relevant professional experiences in the field of project management at the operational level, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in the implementation and monitoring of Health, GBV/ PSEA projects as well as in budget management. 
  • Experience in community-based psychosocial/medical/social reintegration support interventions, particularly related to GBV/PEAS.
  • Experience working with NGOs or other development organizations in development and humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience working with different health system institutions (DPS, BCZS, IPS) and good knowledge of the health system.
  • Experience in facilitating training and capacity building activities. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and management skills required. Autonomous, proactive, passionate about issues.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas and concepts in written and oral forms.
  • Experience using computers and software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Languages: 

  • Fluency in French, working knowledge of English is required.
