ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING
The Global Agenda Associate position is located in the Global Agenda Branch, Division of Governance and Multi-lateral Affairs, New York and reports to the Team Leader of the Global Agenda Branch. The incumbent will be required to assist in the substantive activities related to ICPD and SDG follow up and review, including acting as secretary for meetings of the Global Agenda Branch, providing substantive research, administrative and financial support to the Team Leader of the Global Agenda Branch and the team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Secondary Education required;
University degree in administration, management, communication and related fields, desirable;
Successful completion of the UN Global General Service test.
6 years relevant work experience;
Experience of using Atlas/PeopleSoft is preferred;
Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting systems;
Good writing and communication skills;
Fluency in English required, and French is desirable. Working knowledge of another official UN language is desirable
