The Position
The Administrative Assistant provides reliable and efficient administrative support services to the humanitarian response team in the province of Manica, Mozambique, and reports to the Protection/GBV Specialist (SURGE) in Manica, under the overall guidance of the International Operations Manager based in Maputo.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Completed Secondary Level Education.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Secondary education, with specialized training in travel services or administration management; college education preferred.
- At least 5 years of administrative-related experience with particular emphasis on large organizations.
- Knowledge of Atlas Assets Management is an asset.
- Knowledge of UNFPA Travel Policies & Procedures and UN staff rules desirable.
- Experience in adapting and applying general policies to specific instances
- Excellent, client oriented communication and needs-anticipation skills.
- Understands, anticipates and addresses traveller’s needs and concerns, and develops innovative approaches to meeting those needs.
Languages:
Working knowledge of the official UN language of the duty station.
