Position Summary:
The Administrative Logistics Associate is located in Afghanistan Country Office (CO) and reports to the International Operations Manager. 
 
The Administrative Logistics Associate delivers high quality services in logistics, asset and inventory management to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. 
S/he takes a client-oriented results-focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, providing support and guidance to the CO and UNFPA-supported projects. S/he plays a pivotal role between Programme and Operations in the asset and inventory planning and management, ensuring appropriate monitoring and control of asset in the main offices and provincial sub offices; contributing to the procurement planning and implementation. Ensuring gathering of data for appropriate verification and transfer of inventory and assets to partners. S/he provides support to external partners to ensure that transfer is managed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
 
The Administrative Logistics Associate also works in close collaboration with the Programme and Operations teams to ensure timely support to CO on logistical and inventory matters as well as procurement.  S/he supervises logistics support staff. 
 
The Primary roles are:
Strategic logistics coordination and support;
Programmatic and Financial environmental scanning and analysis in the area of logistics asset management 
Capacity Development and Networking 
Knowledge management in logistics and asset management 
Supervises, monitors and evaluates the work performance of logistics support staff;
Logistics, operations and procedures guidance and support
 
Qualification and Experience:
 
Education:  
Completed Secondary Level Education required. First level university degree desirable.
 
Knowledge and Experience: 
Seven years of relevant experience in administration, finance, logistics or office management.
Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.
 
Languages: 
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local working languages is required.
