Job Summary

ORGANIZATIONAL LOCATION
 
The LAN Associate is located in Country Offices (CO) and reports to Operations Manager, the Representative  or Assistant Representative.
 
JOB SETTING:
The LAN Associate is responsible for implementing ICT policies and standards established by the HQ; providing ICT and administrative support services to the UNFPA Country Office; and providing daily technical support to users of information management tools and technology infrastructure. 
The LAN Associate delivers quality services in the effective and efficient implementation of procurement processes in accordance with UNFPA`s rules and regulations and in line with best practices in public procurement. S/He takes a client-oriented results-focuses approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, providing support and guidance to the CO and UNFPA-supported projects.  
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education:  
Completed Secondary. College/Bachelor’s Degree level courses in business administration would be an asset.
Knowledge and Experience: 
  • Seven years of relevant experience in programme/ project management.
  • Experience of UN administrative procedures desirable, and the ability to interpret rules, procedures and regulations clearly and concisely essential.
  • Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.
  • Initiative, strong conceptual and analytical abilities, sound judgment, strong interest in development work, especially the mission for the United Nations Population Fund and dedication to the principles of the United Nations
  • Experience of UN administrative procedures desirable
