Position summary:

The National Procurement Associate ensures execution of transparent and efficient procurement services and processes in the Country CO. The Procurement Associate promotes a client-focused, quality and results- oriented approach in the Unit.

The Procurement Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme staff in the CO, Sub-Office and UNFPA Procurement Branch for resolving complex procurement-related issues and information exchange.

You will report directly to the International Operations Manager.

The National Procurement Associate supervises and leads the Procurement unit in close collaboration with programme and project teams in the CO for resolving complex procurement-related issues and information delivery.

Under the direct supervision of the International Operations Manager, the National Procurement Associate provides tactical leadership in execution of procurement services in CO ensuring their effectiveness, transparency and integrity. The National Procurement Associate promotes a client-focused, quality and results-oriented approach in the unit.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience is required at the national or international level.

Experience in the usage of computer based ERP such as ATLAS

Exposure to work during crisis and humanitarian response is to be considered as asset

Education: 

Completed Secondary Level Education required. Post-graduation degree in business or any other relevant field is preferred

Professional certification such CIPS is desired

Languages:

Fluency in English.
