The Position:
The Programme Analyst is responsible for providing technical inputs to the planning, conceptualization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of sexual and reproductive health (SRH), gender and gender-based violence (GBV) components of the country programme.
You will maintain collaborative relationships with the government line ministries and departments, civil society constituents, multi-lateral and bilateral donor agencies, the United Nations funds, programmes and specialized agencies and other development organizations.
You will report directly to the Head of Sindh Sub-Office.

Job Purpose:
In a highly complex operating environment, you will play a key role in contributing to the prioritization and effective management of UNFPA interventions in the areas of SRH, gender and GBV.
You will facilitate the delivery of sexual and reproductive health, gender and GBV workplans in Sindh province, the appropriate application of systems and procedures, and provide information on achievement of results in the implementation of the workplans.
You will be expected to effectively influence counterparts from diverse backgrounds to jointly contribute to advancing UNFPA’s mandate in Sindh.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced university degree in Public Health, Medicine, Gender Studies, related Social Sciences, or any other relevant field of study
Knowledge and Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in SRH, gender and GBV programmes in humanitarian or development settings;
Demonstrated experience in programme/project planning design, follow up, monitoring and evaluation;
Knowledge of Pakistan’s and in particular Sindh Province’s socio-cultural issues, legal provisions, and systems of administration;
Knowledge of rights-centered approaches and gender mainstreaming;
Strong results-based management skills;
Experience in a humanitarian or crisis context would be an asset;
Knowledge and experience working with the United Nations system would be an advantage;
Excellent writing, communication presentation and computer skills.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Urdu are required, knowledge of local languages is an asset.
