The Position
The Programme Analyst works collaboratively with the programme team as well as consultants, advisors, and experts and establishes and maintains relationships with counterparts in government, multi-lateral and bilateral donor agencies and civil society to address emerging issues. S/he must effectively influence counterparts from diverse backgrounds to contribute to achieving UNFPA’s mandate.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Master’s degree in gender studies and other related social science field.
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 2 years of professional and relevant experience preferably in programme/ project management in development partners/public or private sector.
- Demonstrate ability to refine programme design and to ensure alignment of organizational programme objectives to national priorities/capacities
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, precision and accuracy
- Ability to lead and manage team to achieve demonstrable results;
- Good communication to foster relevant partnerships at a high level of presentation and to maintain existing partnerships.
- Ability to implementing Gender Equality and Women Empowerment programs
- Knowledge of the UN system would be an added advantage
- Experience in a humanitarian or crisis context is an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of socio-cultural issues and rights centered approach in gender mainstreaming.
- Work experience with women associations is an added advantage
- Excellent skills in computer/information systems.
