The Position:
The Programme Analyst, Urban Health is responsible for providing substantive contribution to the effective management of UNFPA activities in the areas of population and development, reproductive health and gender.
You will be located in the Bangladesh Country Office (CO) and will report to the Chief of Health.

Job Purpose:
You will analyze and assess relevant political, social and economic trends and provide substantive inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. You will guide and facilitate the delivery of UNFPA’s programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation. You will ensure and guide the appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science field.
Knowledge and Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the field of development and population activities, preferably in programme and/or project management
Prior experience working with or within the Urban Health Systems of Bangladesh is a must
Prior experience / association with the Urban Primary Health Care Project of Bangladesh would be an advantage
Good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Ministry of Local Governance and Rural Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare would be an added advantage
Experience working in Urban Slums and / or with Garment workers of Bangladesh would be an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Bangla is required. Working knowledge of another UN language an asset.
