Ensures the program priorities are integrated in areas of work of IPs and UNFPA.
Intensively works with IPs on promotion of effective community participation in Programme planning and implementation;
Assists IPs and community volunteers to understand Programme objectives and provides inputs for local Programme components in accordance with agreed upon procedures;
Facilitates the participation of targeted groups in community planning events to represent community needs and ideas;
Provides support to build capacity of local NGOs, service providers and volunteers and other key partners, and supports follow up actions;
Collects information for conducting of needs assessments of beneficiaries and service providers;
Assists in the coordination between the P&D, RH, Youth, and GBV teams for proper integration of the services (financial and technical);
Assists to the identification, systematization and reporting of good/promising practices and lessons learnt;
In collaboration with thematic Programme assistants for GBV, RH, PD, youth, and M7E unit supports in the collection of data, S/he also assists in consolidating the monitoring of project implementation.
Coordinates with IPs on the timely submission of financial reports on projects, including the review and finalization of inputs on financial reports;
Monitors the overall expenditure targets among IPs against allocations of funds;
Assists IPs in preparing request of Fund Authorization and Certificate of Expenditures (FACE) and follows up on implementing procedures with the IPs to ensure timely submission of all financial and progress reports.
Assists in monitoring projects’ expenditures and disbursements to ensure delivery is in line with approved budgets and to realize targeted delivery levels;
In close coordination with the Programme Operations Support (POS) unit, contributes to the compliance of programmes /projects with organizational guidelines, as well as with audits and evaluation findings, by benchmarking project performance and transmitting this information to the CO for corrective action;
In coordination with POS unit, monitors the AWPs through GPS by generating appropriate reports for management;
Maintains and updates partners and project files, including project progress reports, work plans and budgets in compliance with UNFPA policies and procedures.
Ensures that corporate procurement management policies and strategies are adequately applied by IPs in project implementation;
Undertakes all logistical, administrative and financial arrangements required for the organization to support and facilitate technical workshops, inter-agency meetings, panel discussions, roundtables, missions, and other events organized by the IPs;
Ensures compliance to the application of UNFPA rules, regulations and procedures;
Perform any other activity as required to assure the success of the work team.
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma; University Degree is preferable;
Kowledge and Experience:
Minimum six years of working experience,
Excellent and proven experience in dealing with local government challenges;
Financial experience in financial reporting is an asset;
Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel spreadsheet; Knowledge of MS Project an asset;
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic is required
