The Position:
The Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Program Coordinator will be ensuring high technical, programmatic and operational support, in accordance with the principles of results based management and good governance to reinforce the quality of the SRHR programme in Equatorial Guinea. S/he is part of a team, consisting of Programme and Operational staff, including a Humanitarian Response Programme Officer.
You will report directly to the Representative.

Job Purpose:
UNFPA Equatorial Guinea implements an integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights program aiming at increasing access to gender sensitive and culturally appropriate quality maternal health services, including emergency obstetrics and neonatal care in public and private facilities in supported States for women, adolescents, youth including in emergency situations ; advancing gender equality and women empowerment and ending Gender based violence and harmful practices and strengthening national data systems and supporting the Government to harnessing the demographic dividend. ,.
UNFPA Equatorial Guinea Country Office implements a five years Country programme document for (CPD 2019-2023). This program has 3 outcomes. 1) Sexual and reproductive health; 2) Gender equality and women’s empowerment and 3) Population and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:

Advanced university degree in any of the following - public health, medicine, demography, social sciences, or other related discipline. The degree must be directly related to the substantive area identified in the job description of the post.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 7 years of relevant and increasingly responsible experience in managing RH, health programmes, or Gender Based Violence programs, of which at least 5 years national and/or international experience in advising on reproductive, maternal and newborn health, family planning, Adolescent SRH, with strong Programme coordination capacities and with clear knowledge and understanding of gender equality.
- General knowledge of the principles and operational aspects of integrated RH/MH care.
- Interpersonal and communication skills for the dissemination of information and advocacy activities.
- Familiarity with UN development programmes and working procedures, especially UNFPA policies and programming procedures, an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French, is desirable.
