The Position:
The Programme Analyst will work closely with the Adolescent and Youth Team to ensure quality of Norway-funded Project “Reaching those most left behind through CSE for out of school young people”: coordinate youth-led and/or youth related activities; campaign and advocacy management, youth engagement and young key-populations outreach; data and youth accountability.
You will report directly to the CSE Specialist.

Job Purpose:
Comprehensive Sexuality Education is a key component of UNFPA’s new Strategic plan and an essential pillar of the upcoming revised UNFPA Adolescent and Youth Strategy. In December 2018 UNFPA signed an agreement with Norway to implement 3-Year project “Reaching those most left behind through CSE for out of school young people”. It aims to empower adolescents and young people from specific groups to receive the skills and capabilities to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health and right, and well-being. Youth leadership and meaningful engagement is a cross-cutting component of the Project.
You will have strategic oversight of youth meaningful participation in CSE programme planning, implementation and evaluation as well as in national and regional CSE development processes.
Education:
Advanced university degree in social sciences or related discipline with specialized knowledge in the field of CSE/HIV prevention / SRHR.
Knowledge and Experience:
2 years’ experience in youth/volunteer participation and youth-led project management and policy development
An experience in development and implementation of youth-led programmes and projects related to comprehensive sexuality education, SRHR, Young key populations, youth and community mobilization at national, regional and global level
Experience in coordination of social media and online platforms for comprehensive sexuality education at national/regional/global level
Background in international and/or public administration with a focus on human rights, youth policy, youth development and SRHR including comprehensive sexuality education
Past involvement in international and/or regional working/advisory groups related to CSE and youth development
Expertise in organizing and maintaining youth-led advocacy campaigns at international and regional level
Background in facilitating and utilizing innovative online and offline tools, including management of online platforms
Experience in organizing youth-focused trainings, events and meetings
Strong background in the 2030 Development Agenda related processes
Have a strong network of youth-led organizations working in the field of SRHR, and CSE in particular
Languages:
Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
