Job Summary

The Position:

The Finance Associate delivers quality financial services to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. You should have a client-oriented results-focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, providing support and guidance to the CO and UNFPA-supported projects.

You will report directly to the International Operations Manager.

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient financial services to internal and

external clients in accordance with Financial rules and regulations. You will advise colleagues on proper financial procedures. You will support the office programme management and delivery through provision of financial information.

Education: 

Completed Secondary Level Education required. First Level of University degree is desirable in the areas of Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in finance-related experience - accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, etc.;

Experience in the above areas with international organizations will be an asset;

Experience in UN accounting framework and systems and specifically Atlas/PeopleSoft will be an advantage;

Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting systems;

Languages:

Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic
