PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO NATIONALS OF PHILIPPINES ONLY.

The Position:

The Private Sector M&E Analyst shall assist the Country Office in the process documentation on the implementation of Family Planning in the workplace program implemented by UNFPA Philippines.

You will generate evidence on the positive contribution of the project in ensuring universal access to SRH information and services in the business sector.  You will also develop recommendations on how to disseminate evidence generated and on how to effectively use the said evidence to influence relevant SRH policies and programmes.

You will maintain collaborative relationships with youth groups, government, non-government organizations, civil society, multi-lateral and bilateral donor agencies, co-United Nations agencies, programmes and specialized agencies and other development organizations.

You will report directly to the SRH Policy Specialist.

How you can make a difference:

UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency. Our mission is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled.  In 2019 UNFPA marks its 50th anniversary.  Since the International Conference on Population and Development in 1994, UNFPA has been assisting countries with implementing the ICPD Programme of Action to put sexual and reproductive health and rights and population dynamism as the foundation of sustainable development.  UNFPA globally is promoting commitments to achieving three transformational goals by 2030 - ending preventable maternal deaths, ending unmet need for family planning, and ending gender-based violence and other harmful practices against women and girls including child marriage.

In the Philippines, UNFPA has started its new five-year 8th Country Programme 2019-2023.  The 8CP is tightly aligned with the mid- and long-term development goals of the Philippines, as detailed in the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 and Ambisyon Natin 2040, as well as the global Agenda 2030 including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In a world where fundamental human rights are at risk, we need principled and ethical staff, who embody these international norms and standards, and who will defend them courageously and with full conviction.

Job Purpose:

You will assist the Country Office in identifying and studying sustainable SRH models in the business/private sector by developing at least four sustainability models as options for scaling up or replicability of the SRH private sector model. Each model should show a clear pathway or logic of development, analysis, testing and validation. Using case studies, each model should be able to capture best practices and lessons learned by early adopters of the programme.

You are also expected to assist in the development of the monitoring system for UNFPA’s work in promoting SRH in the private sector. Such system should be developed in coordination with other stakeholders, including partner companies.  The monitoring system shall include a monitoring framework and tools.
