Position summary:
The Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Officer is located in Colombo and reports to the UNFPA Assistant Representative.
Job Purpose
Under the overall guidance of the UNFPA Representative and the supervision of the Assistant Representative, the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Officer substantively contributes to the development of new partnerships and strengthening of the existing partnerships in order to mobilize funding to support the implementation of the UNFPA Country Programme and advance reproductive rights in Sri Lanka. S/He deepens Country Office collaboration with key donors and private sector partners, including through environmental scanning and knowledge exchange. S/He develops the Country Office resource mobilization strategy and tools, and coordinates their implementation, leads donor intelligence, supports strengthening of UNFPA positioning in relation to donors and private sector.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
Education
Advanced degree in international development, international relations, economics, political or social sciences or any development related field.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 2 years progressively responsible relevant professional experience in the field of resource mobilization and partnerships, including developing proposals and donor reports.
Languages
Full proficiency in English (including execellent writing and communication skills), and Sinhala or Tamil is required.
Computer proficiency
Proficiency in current office software applications
