Under the day-to-day supervision of the GBV Capacity Development Specialist, with the technical assistance of the GBV Information Management Specialist, and in close cooperation with the Surge Team, the Surge Data Entry Consultant will provide support in the collection, input, consolidation and analysis of data related to the different components of UNFPA’s Surge mechanism.
Main tasks and Responsibilities
● Maintain the UNFPA Global Emergency Roster ensuring information is inputted in an accurate and timely manner. ● Ensure regular data input and updating of information in the Surge Operational Staffing Matrix.
● Assist in the regular tracking of data around Surge deployments: this will include creating automatic alerts and alerting focal points of upcoming and expiring deployment information.
● Using the Surge Operating Staffing dashboard and other information tools, provide regular and timely aggregated and disaggregated information, as requested, that will form the basis of the team’s analysis and help inform strategic decision-making.
● Consolidate, input and monitor data and information from surge trainings/assessments, including necessary pre-training/assessment data entry needs, consolidation and input of candidate roster results and candidate assessment information, and management of data and information needs around candidate feedback processes.
● Any other relevant task as requested by the Humanitarian Specialist.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of secondary level education with additional training in IT, administration and management. Undergraduate degree in IT, administration or human resources management is highly desirable.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the collection, input and analysis of data for management decision purposes.
- Some exposure and/or interest in human resources management functions would be preferred.
- Excellent command and knowledge of Microsoft Office with a particular expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel. Strong familiarity with G Suite applications (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Forms, etc.).
- High level of commitment, drive for results, and respect for confidentiality with sound attention to details.
- A team player: Proven experience working in cross-functional team environments with multiple reporting lines.
- Fluency in English.
