Scope of Work:
Over the course of the consultancy, the selected candidate would be responsible for:
- People Strategy co-creation: contribute to e.g. people strategy working groups on talent management and career development e.g. admin support, conduct research, data review of current talent management practices, integrate information, prepare and give presentations.
- Talent Mobility and Career Development: Support design and implementation of e.g. new talent mobility strategy and framework (including rotation policy); career development strategy and framework. Design and delivery of the career development portfolio, including career coaching, mentoring. Update and maintain UNFPA’s Career Guide and documents. Obtain and analyse regular feedback from program participants for evaluation purposes.
- Project Management: support design and delivery of projects and initiatives in the areas of people strategy, talent management, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership pipeline development and management. Create communication materials and presentations, data analysis and integration.
- ERP Implementation: support design and launch of new Enterprise Resource Planning, HR IT related to talent management and career development, e.g. attend ERP meetings, undertake user testing, support roll-out. Creation of end-user briefing documents, conduct briefings to various stakeholder groups, collect and upload relevant data.
- Vendor Management: Identify suitable vendors, support vendor management of both new and existing relationships e.g. career development, coaching providers.
- Provide additional support to other talent management and talent development related tasks e.g. learning, leadership development, performance management, organisational design and development - as requested by the HR Specialist, Career Development and Talent Mobility, or by the Chief, Career Development and Talent Mobility
Requirements:
Education
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of work experience or master’s degree
with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in HR or People Strategy design and implementation;
- Experience in project and programme management at international level;
- Exposure to the design and implementation of talent management programmes,initiatives or products e.g. talent reviews, succession planning, career development, leadership development and roster management and learning;
- Previous experience in HR systems or ERP is desired;
- Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word;
- Well developed data and analytics experience;
- Experience with the UN or in a multinational context is desired.

- Experience in Human Resources and Talent Management, Career Development
- Experience (international / global) project management
- Experience in Talent Data Management
- Strong communication skills
Languages:
Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or
Spanish is desirable.
