The Technical Adviser, Data in Emergencies will provide strategic technical leadership support to advance the role of UNFPA in the domain of data in emergencies. He/she will maintain strong collaborative partnerships across the organization and with external partners to ensure that conceptual and operational support is provided to improve UNFPA work in the domain of data in emergencies. The Technical Adviser builds also strong collaborative relationships with Country Offices and Regional/Sub-regional Offices to support the effective implementation of programs.

- Evidence and knowledge development and dissemination
- Technical Representation
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Advanced university degree in any of the following - public health, international development, social sciences, demography, public administration, business administration, management or other related fields.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the substantive technical area, of which seven years at the international level;
Languages:
- Fluency in English, knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
Other Desirable Skills:
- Extensive network within the development community.
- Familiarity with UN development programmes and working procedures, especially UNFPA policies and programming procedures, an asset.
