Duration: 5 months (Extension subject to funding availability)

The Position:

The Operations Manager leads the operations team of the Cox’s Bazar Sub-Office, providing advice in all aspects of the Sub-Office management, operations, finance, administration, procurement, information technology, and human resources, contributing operational expertise to facilitate the Humanitarian intervention and Nexus Development programme implementation in Cox’s Bazar. 

You will report to the Head of Cox’s Bazar Sub-Office of the Bangladesh CO.

Job Purpose:

The Operations Manager (OS) ensures a fully accountable, well-managed and results-oriented Sub- Office of Cox’s Bazar. You will contribute your operational expertise to facilitate Humanitarian Response and programme implementation in close collaboration with Cox’s Bazar Programme staff and Operations unit of the Bangladesh CO.  

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Education:  

Advanced degree in business administration, public administration, finance, human resources, information technology or other related discipline.

Knowledge and Experience: 

· Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in administration, finance or office management.

· Strong analytical and leadership skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.

Languages: 

Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages is preferable.
