The Position:
The Operations Analyst, under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Coordinator (P4), leads the operations team in Tigray Sub office, providing advice in all aspects of the field office management, operations, finance, administration, procurement, information technology, and human resources, contributing operational expertise to facilitate programme and project implementation.
Job Purpose:
The Operations Analyst ensures a fully accountable, well-managed and results-oriented sub Office. He/she will provide operational expertise to facilitate programme and project implementation in close collaboration with the sub-office’s programme staff. Participating in inter-agency coordination, s/he will foster a collaborative, client-oriented approach towards the sub-office programme team and UN community, supporting effective communication and cooperation with the country office.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Master's degree or higher in business administration, public administration, finance, human resources, information technology or other related discipline.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administration, finance or office management.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent management and leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, focus on impact and result, and responds positively to feedback.
- Solid knowledge in financial management, contract, asset and procurement, information and communication technology, and general administration.
- Ability to lead business process re-engineering, to implement new systems, and to positively affect staff behavioral/attitudinal changes.
- Extensive practical knowledge of field office operations, ability to find business solutions and apply
- UNFPA PPM to complex and dynamic business environment, including high operating and security risk environment, economic, social and political constraints, humanitarian, natural disasters and post conflict environments.
- Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.
Languages:

Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
