2022–2023 report

The end of 2023 heralded the midpoint of UNFPA’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, as well as the start of ICPD30 – a review of progress made since the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development. This mid-term review of UNFPA’s Strategic Plan reflects on both the effectiveness of UNFPA’s work and the challenges that lie ahead. It shows that, while great advances have been made, overlapping crises, economic disruptions and widening inequalities have led to a slowing of progress. It therefore calls for greatly accelerating our efforts. It also highlights UNFPA’s work towards becoming more agile amid growing global uncertainty, so that, no matter what the future brings, UNFPA will stand ready to deliver.
