Fistula Song was written for the first ever International Day to End Obstetric Fistula and performed live for the first time in the NY launch event on May 23, 2013.

The song was written by a well known Senegalese singer, Baay Bia, and is performed in the video/CD by Baay Bia and 5 other well known singers from Senegal, who provided their services free of charge to produce the song in the hope of helping women and girls suffering from obstetric fistula in their own country of Senegal and other fistula affected countries across the world. The song is done in 6 languages to reach a broad audience and in order to amplify the message and the song's impact. The song & video were specially compiled earlier this year for May 23rd.
