This side event of the 51st session of the Commission on Population and Development examines the drivers and consequences of migration flows. It places a special focus on mixed migration – meaning the mixed flows of different kinds of migrants, including economic migrants and refugees – and young migrants.
Findings will be presented from a recent four-country study conducted in Beirut, Cairo, Nairobi, and Tunis, which investigates the phenomenon of youth mixed migration, including its human rights implications.
